Good location near waterfront and shops.Nice view from our 4th floor of the sea and harbour.pleasant enough room for a short stay.
No lifts so heavy suitcases a problem.Very little water pressure in shower.Air conditioning placed above one bed so very cold even on low.Breakfast could be vastly improved as 2 slices of toast and an egg not very filling.

Room is on the top floor 4 flights(no lift), and no assistance with heavy bags, beds were very uncomfortable as were the pillows, unfriendly staff

During my stay in ho{s}tel Seafront Sandakan Iliked only the time when I was leaving...It was really hell to be there, it was mz the most worser experience with the hotels what I have ever had in Malajsia...
Room was really dirty, and when I changed for the other one it was the cockroach on my bed, so I think this should be none as hostel and not hotel!!! Completely dissapointed.

room was so big! seems like we had our own areas in the one room, served basic free breakfast, good tv reception, aircon worked, staff were helpful.

there is no lift to the room. have to walk up to 4th floor. At night the surrounding is very quiet and dark, very scary.

The staff were very helpful. Free WiFi in the lobby with fast connection. Easy walk to waterfront and restaurants.
No lift for the lads in reception were happy to carry our bags up and down and refused a tip.

A very good hotel for the money.Near to transport shops and a very good information centre. People very friendly and I recommend this hotel as perfect budget place to stay

The taxi place is next door.
Do not book this hotel! They provide no service, it was dirty and breakfast was not eatable. According to this website it was possible to book an extra bed in the room. We needed that for we have three children. They just brought a mattress and a plastic bin with the sheets. We had to make the bed our selves. The rooms we got were on the 4th floor and they have no lift. We had to ask them to bring the suitcases for they did not do it themselves, they were just sitting next to the lobby. The rooms were so dirty that my daughter got an allergic reaction. The breakfast is very poor; only toast with jam and a boiled egg. When my other daughter opened the egg it had a very strange brownish color. Although it is a cheap hotel you do expect that it is clean and that the breakfast is fresh. We understand that is simple but we think it is normal that suitcases will be brought to your room and that an extra bed not a mattress is.
